Federal Direct Student Loan Program

The William D. Ford Federal Direct Student Loan program is funded directly from the U.S. Department of Education. For Federal Direct Loan and Federal Stafford Loan repayment information, borrowers must contact their loan servicer for repayment information. Borrowers can access their loan history at Federal Student Aid

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's (ED) central database for federal student loans (excluding Health Professions Student Loans). NSLDS Student Access provides borrowers with a centralized, integrated view of their federal student loans.

Consequences of Default

Default occurs when a student becomes past due in making a loan payment. The consequences of default are serious, and many options are available to assist borrowers in avoiding default. University Bursar strongly encourages borrowers to contact their lenders instead of missing a payment during difficult times.
